Oak Tree Cottage is a semi-detached Grade II listed cottage. The cottage has a private entrance driveway and outside parking area and is accessed through a cloakroom/boot room to inner hallway with door leading off to kitchen/diner. Well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer microwave, electric oven and hob and toaster. The spacious lounge has original oak beams and large inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove, comfy leather sofas and a flatscreen TV with Freeview and DVD player. There is a downstairs bathroom/toilet with washbasin and shower over bath with heated towel rail and tiled floor. Bath and hand towels provided for each guest. A doorway leads down some steps to the garden area with seating. From the ground floor a stairway leads to small landing with access to three bedrooms. The two main bedrooms have countryside views of fields, woodland and wildlife including red deer. Cot, highchair and stairgate available free of charge. The cottage has full central heating and is warm and cosy at any time of year.Sorry no pets.

Local Information

The cottage is situated in quiet West Somerset countryside on the southern edge of Exmoor National Park an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The nearest town of Dulverton, 4 miles, a busy little market town with National Park Visitor Centre, cafes, galleries, shops, a good variety of pubs and restaurants where time has stood still.
The Exmoor National Park is a great place to explore and enjoy with over 1000km of footpaths and bridleways, through woodland, by rivers and on open moorland, the variety is astounding.
Exmoor is home to some of the darkest skies in the country so it's a great place to simply gaze at the stars.

Accessibility Details

The cottage is not suitable for people with walking difficulties as the bedrooms are located on the first floor and the bathroom is located on the ground floor.

Flexible changeover days.
Short breaks available for minimum stay 3 nights at any time at our discretion on a last minute basis. The cottage will be available from 4.00 pm on the day of arrival until 10.30 am on the day of departure.

Booking Conditions

A non-refundable deposit of a third is payable by credit/debit card over the telephone to confirm a reservation Deposits are non-refundable but can be applied to a future booking. If you cancel you will be liable to pay the balance if we are unable to rebook the cottage. You are strongly advised to have appropriate holiday cancellation insurance in place. No reservation will be treated as confirmed until the deposit has been paid. The balance is payable in full a calendar month prior to the date of arrival. If a booking is made within a month of the date of arrival the whole cost must be paid immediately.

Payment via direct bank transfer available if requested.
