Description of Glan Rhyd Cottage
Glan Rhyd ('By the Stream') is a simply but comfortably furnished 19th century Anglesey heritage cottage with many genuine period features. It overlooks a private one-acre meadow with pre-historic standing stone and bordering stream. The cottage is very characterful, quiet, warm and comfortable. There is one double bed. The location is 1 mile from the village, secluded, central to the island and excellent for walking and exploring. Anglesey's largest lake is a 15 minute walk away along a country lane, there are two good beaches within a 10 minute drive, and most of Anglesey is accessible within 30 minutes.
There is a good wood-burning stove, unlimited hot water, and central heating. The kitchen has an electric cooker, fridge with freezer compartment and microwave. One night's fuel is provided for the multi-fuel stove. We are sorry that we cannot welcome dogs - there are often lambs or sheep in the attached meadow.
