Description of Tremodrett Barn

Tremodrett Barn is a stunning two-bedroom barn conversion, new for the holiday market for summer 15. Situated on a small private estate with adjacent barns, it is surrounded by fields and open countryside. Set in a leafy hamlet only one mile from the A30 main road through Cornwall it is an ideal base for travelling around Cornwall and exploring the north and south coasts.
The open-plan living accommodation is flooded with light and located on the first floor to take advantage of the vaulted roof space and beams. A Juliet balcony opens onto the courtyard. Laura Ashley sofas are complimented by a stylish oak dining table and chairs. The kitchen is equipped to a high standard with professional pans and Sophie Conran china.
Downstairs are three bedrooms ( one small one serving as a dressing room). The main bedroom opens onto the courtyard and has a beautiful contemporary oak four poster bed. The 20' second bedroom ( twin) is a dramatic room with sloping roof reaching into the eaves of the barn. Both are equipped with crisp white bed linen and proper pillows! The Barn is our own holiday home and equipped to a high standard not just as a holiday let and we hope our guests will appreciate the little extra touches.
Outside there are two garden areas - a private garden to the front receives sun throughout the day and is decorated with palms and exotics plants which thrive in Cornwall's sunny clime. A dining table and seating for 4 is provided. To the rear of the barn is a communal courtyard with miller's wheel , decorated with mature hydrangeas.
The whole estate has been finished to a high standard and slate walkways and planting beds abound. In the fields we caught sight of roe deer in our first week and there is a resident woodpecker

  • There is a garden to the front of the property with pots and tender plants which thrive in Cornwall's sunny clime together with a patio area and dining for 4. To the rear is a courtyard (shared with two barns) with bistro table and chairs for two furnished with mature hydrangeas. French windows open out from the main bedroom so you can pop out for a quiet morning coffee.


Local Information

Swimming,spa,gym,exercise classes,stand-up paddle-boarding,surf safaris, cable wake-boarding are available at a nearby country club.

Victoria Services has a range of fast-food outlets and a Childrens' climbing zone. It also has a Spar store within the petrol station.

Roche has a range of stores, including a Co-Op, whilst Bodmin and Truro have a full range of out of town Retail Parks and Superstores.
Fowey, Truro are great for days out.

Lanhydrock and The Eden CenterFowey are easily reached.

Accessibility Details

The property has a living area on the first floor, accessed by a dog-leg staircase. Bedrooms are downstairs. There are steps around the estate and one step up to the entrance.

7day minimum stays are in place for the busy holiday periods, whilst we welcome long weekend breaks at other times. Please contact us for the prices.

Changeover

Our changeover days are usually on Fridays, but we can be a little more flexible in off-peak times

Booking Conditions

We ask for a booking deposit of £150, with the balance due two months before arrival. In addition, there is a damage deposit of £150, which is fully returnable.

Getting Here

The Barn is just two miles from the A30 Victoria Services. Being centrally located, access to both coasts is easy. Padstow, Truro and Fowey are about half an hour away. Tremodrett is a tranquil hamlet near Roche, which is close to Bodmin.
