Cottage Availability?
For all cottages book-able online please use the online booking facility or telephone the number displayed. All available dates are displayed, if the dates you require are not available please try searching for alternative properties using our availability search.

Can you provide me with a brochure?
We do not produce a printed brochure at this time. All the information we have is displayed online with new properties being added frequently.

Can you recommend a property to me?
Unfortunately due to the volume of email we receive we are unable to recommend any properties. The site is specifically designed to allow Internet users to browse and book online or contact the owners directly themselves.

What does the 'Guide Price' mean?
The guide price provides an indication of the cost for the property based on its location and its number of rooms.

How does bookcottages.com work?
We have two types of cottages on the site, some with online booking facilities, some without. For those with online booking, please follow the on-screen instructions or if neccessary, please call the number displayed. For cottages without online booking please contact the cottage owners directly to confirm availability and prices.

Please do not email us asking if a property is available as we do not hold the property availability details ourselves. Please check availability online, or call the number displayed if available, or contact the owner directly.

How can I book, check availability and prices for a cottage with online booking?
To check for availability dates on properties, please follow these 3 simple steps:

 1) Click on the check availability links until you reach a property page with a calendar.
 2) Use the drop down menus to select the year and then month you require.
 3) Use the drop down menu to select your length of stay.

The calendar will show available start dates as YELLOW boxes on the calendar.

If you CLICK DIRECTLY ON ONE OF THE YELLOW BOXES ON THE CALENDER, which are displayed after you have selected the date and duration of your stay, it will automatically display a price box to the right of the calendar and a "proceed to book" option.

Calendar colours:
GREY = Not available.
YELLOW = Valid start date for length of stay chosen.
RED = Short breaks within an half term peak period or other holiday period - these can only be booked within 28 days of the holiday start date.

Please note: Property details when checking availability and prices will open in a new window - if you have pop-up windows disallowed on your browser you will not be able to view these details.

Who do I contact if I have a query regarding my reservation?
If you have made a reservation online please call the number displayed on the cottage brochure page. If you have made a reservation directly with the owner please contact the owner directly again.

What types of facilities are available?
Cottage facilities are detailed on the individual cottage brochure pages. If the facility you require is not displayed then it is probably not available. We display all information provided to us by the cottage owners.
