This private stone cottage with private above ground swimming pool (7.3m x 3.75, depth 1.3m) is peacefully located in a spacious lawned garden. It is within walking distance of the village with shop, restaurants, bars, baker and cafe. The riverside village of Les Eyzies offers pre-history museums, bars, cafes and canoe hiring. The cathedral city of Périgueux 22 kms north has a wonderful market every Wednesday; cinemas, many shops, bars, restaurants, museums and fascinating cobbled streets. Further afield is the historic town of Sarlat (45 kms south east) with its' famous Wednesday market, quaint streets and beautiful buildings. La Roque-Gageac and Domme are less than an hour drive. The famous wine growing area of Saint Emilion (116 kms east) is just over an hour drive. The historic town of Bergerac (50 kms south west) sits on the banks of the gently flowing river Dordogne. Bergerac is the regions wine growing capital and offers opportunities for canoeing, markets, shopping and tasting local wines including Monbazillac, and produce such as foie gras at any of its' many restaurants.
