Description of House In Bollene

An exceptional holiday home, classified as a Historic Monument, with private pool and enclosed garden, at the intersection of 4 departments: Vaucluse, Ardèche, Gard and Drôme Provençale. The residence, together with the neighboring tower serving as a former prison, was part of a 18th century building until the eve of French Revolution, called 'Maison de la Tour'. The building was probably used as a watchtower or a guardhouse, it was in the hands of the Countess of Toulouse and then of the Pope in 1274. The house of Tower was redesigned in the 15th century. The rarity of the châtelet present at the top of the house has justified its classification. It has now been beautifully restored by talented and traditional craftsmen (cabinet makers, stone cutters, specialized gardeners), the rooms are redecorated with high quality materials, and its owner has also a genuine medieval garden in the back, accessible by a secured door, where you will enjoy resting in the shade lulled by the soft sound of a fountain, savoring one of the many classified Vaucluse wines and contemplating the breathtaking view on the valley of the Rhone and on the Collegiale St Martin. At the gates of the Route des Vins, Bollène is a pretty town dominated by the medieval hamlet of Le Puy. 25km away from Orange, the holiday property is also 20km away from the entrance to the Gorges de l'Ardèche to discover absolutely. Many caves can be visited, such as aven Marzal, aven d'Orgnac. Tourists practice caving, climbing, canoeing, kayaking or boat trips, hiking, horseback riding, cycling, bungee jumping, etc. One of the bathrooms and an independent WC are located in an annex on the ground, where a discreet office worker works during the day which ends at 17h. Salt water pool. For an unforgettable stay in the Vaucluse, this splendid holiday home with swimming pool offers you a unique setting. Bathroom 3 and toilet 3 accessbiles from outside only.
