Main picture for The Old Post Office ![]() Description of The Old Post OfficeThe Old Post Office is situated in the quiet and peaceful East Devon village of Plymtree. The property is easily accessed from Junction 28 on the M5.The Old Post Office is the perfect holiday retreat to unwind from the stresses of everyday life. The accommodation has been renovated to a high standard and now provides a wonderful place to relax with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. The sitting room is spacious and light with ample seating. There is also a dining room, kitchen, playroom and toilet on the ground floor. French doors lead to the private and enclosed side garden where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine on the patio. Children can play safely here. Upstairs, the south facing master bedroom with en-suite has a very comfortable king size bed. The views from the window stretch across the village to the fields beyond. The other bedrooms are furnished with a double bed and twin beds respectively. The latter can form a kingsize bed if required. The Old Post Office is centrally located in the village. The Community shop is 300 yards away and you can buy all necessary provisions including daily papers. A Tesco can be found in Cullompton (4.5miles) and Sainsbury is in Ottery St Mary (5 miles). The local area provides some lovely walks and cycle rides. There are many pubs where you can enjoy great food within a few miles drive or why not simply walk next door to the Blacksmiths Arms, the village pub. We can book a table at the Blacksmiths if you wish so that the first night of your holiday gets off to a great start. There are several excellent coarse lakes for anglers in the vicinity. Golfers are catered for with courses at Woodbury Common, Honiton and Cullompton. Horseriders will find riding stables in nearby Whimple. Further afield, Exmoor and Dartmoor can easily be reached by car for a great day out. There are also several National Trust properties nearby. The World Heritage coastline of East Devon is just a short ride away with the delightful seaside towns of Sidmouth, Beer and Lyme Regis to explore. Devon offers much for its younger visitor. Crealy Adventure Park and Woodlands (near Dartmouth) are certain to appeal. But the wonderful beaches are hard to beat. Features of The Old Post Office
