Calbourne is located on the South West of the island, approximately 15 minutes from Yarmouth and from Newport, and is in the middle of beautiful countryside, with many walking trails.

It is known for its picturesque Winkle Street which is just around the corner from Dove Cottage.

The property benefits from an attractive garden.

The area is great for walking with rolling hills and attractive vistas and some ancient tumuli nearby.

Directions from Fishbourne (25 mins)

Come out of the ferry terminal onto Fishbourne Lane – B3331 and drive along until you reach some traffic lights where you turn right onto the A3054 (signposted Newport, East Cowes). NB be careful – Speed Cameras along the A3054. You come to a roundabout where you take the 1st exit onto the A3054 (signposted Newport, Cowes). At the next roundabout take 4th exit onto East Street – B3323 (not shown) (signposted Town Centre). Then at the mini-roundabout continue forward onto South Street – B3323. Keep in the right-hand lane then at traffic signals turn right onto Saint James’s Street – B3323 (signposted Carisbrooke). Turn left (one-way) onto Pyle Street – B3323 (signposted Carisbrooke). At the T-junction turn left onto Carisbrooke Road – B3323. At the mini-roundabout continue forward onto Carisbrooke Road – B3323. At the next mini-roundabout continue forward onto High Street – B3323 (signposted Carisbrooke, West Wight). At the next mini-roundabout continue forward onto High Street – B3401 (signposted Calbourne). The look out for the crossroads with signpost left to Brightstone and turn left and you are in Calbourne.

Directions from Yarmouth (15 mins)

Start out on Quay Street. Turn left onto Bridge Road, then continue forward onto River Road. At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A3054 signposted Newport. In about 3 miles turn right onto Station Road, signposted Ningwood, Newbridge. Continue forward onto the B3401 (ignoring a turn off of the B3401 to the right in about a 1/3 of a mile) until in just under a mile you bear left keeping on the Main Road – still the B3401 – signposted Newport (where the B3401 joins from the right hand side). In about a 3rd of a mile you reach Calbourne Cross. You are at Calbourne.
