Description of Tremodrett House Barn

Tremodrett House Barn is a stunning contemporary barn conversion, graded 5 stars according to Visit England standards. Situated on a small private estate with adjacent barns, it is surrounded by fields and open countryside. The leafy hamlet is only miles from the A30 main road through Cornwall making it an ideal base for travelling around Cornwall and exploring the north and south coasts.

The open-plan living accommodation is flooded with light and located on the first floor to take advantage of the vaulted roof space and beams. A Juliet balcony opens onto the courtyard. Laura Ashley sofas are complimented by a stylish oak dining table and chairs. The kitchen is equipped to a high standard with professional pans, a food processor and Sophie Conran china.

Downstairs are two bedrooms and two bathrooms ( a further small room has been furnished as a TV den/quiet room - perfect for the children to chill out and give the grown-ups a little respite ). The main bedroom opens onto the courtyard and has a beautiful contemporary oak four poster bed. The family bathroom is adjacent to this room. The second bedroom ( twin) is a dramatic room with sloping roof reaching into the eaves of the barn. There is a stylish, contemporary en-suite shower room in the twin bedroom. The Barn is our own holiday home and equipped to a high standard not just as a holiday let and we hope our guests will appreciate the little extra touches!

Outside there are two garden areas - a private garden to the front, with raised flower beds, receives sun throughout the day and is decorated with palms and exotics plants which thrive in Cornwall's sunny clime. A dining table and seating for 4 is provided together with a kettle BBQ. To the rear of the barn is a communal courtyard (shared with two barns), decorated with mature hydrangeas. We have a bistro table and two chairs - you can pop out from the king-size bedroom for your morning coffee.

The whole estate has been finished to a high standard and slate walkways and planting beds abound. In the fields we caught sight of roe deer in our first week and there is a resident woodpecker.

Free Wi -fi is provided and a Welcome tray on arrival.
We are delighted to have been awarded a 5 star Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor. We have 5 star ratings on a number of websites but please come to us direct through this site for substantial savings on prices.

Coronavirus Update
We are pleased to have been awarded VisitBritain's certificate 'We're Good to Go!' for the safety measures we have put into place throughout the pandemic.
The safety and welfare of our guests is our highest priority. As such, we have instructed our housekeeper to adopt stringent additional cleaning practices following the departure and prior to the arrival of all guests. Anti-bacterial products are being used throughout the barn and are available for guests to use. Deep cleaning and disinfecting is being done of all vulnerable surfaces such as work tops, light switches, handles, stair rails, remote controls etc. Books, DVDs and tourist information (readily availble locally) have been removed as an additional precaution.
Tremodrett, is a rural location, and as such is an easy location to maintain social distancing. The estate provides separate vehicle access for some of the other barns so contact with neighbours is limited leaving you free with more peace of mind to enjoy the wide, open spaces of Cornwall 's beaches, gardens and countryside.
