Description of Golebys Cottage

Golebys cottage is tucked away on a quiet lane in the rural, pretty village of Hickling, within easy reach of the best Norfolk has to offer. Hickling boasts the biggest of all Norfolk's Broads, a nature reserve and the superb Greyhound pub is just 2 minutes walk away from the cottage. The pub, just like the cottage, is dog friendly. Hickling has a pretty church and there are numerous lovely walks and cycle routes leading from it. The small town of Stalham is less than 10 minutes away, where the nearest supermarket can be found.

One of the benefits of staying at Golebys Cottage is it's location, as it is also less than 3 miles away from Norfolk's stunning golden beaches, that stretch for mile upon mile. Hickling is also 5 miles away from the famous wild seal colony at Horsey Beach, which is a wonderful sight. Historic Norwich, the seaside towns of Cromer and Great Yarmouth, plus the Broads 'capital', Wroxham, are all within 35 minutes drive away.

Golebys Cottage is a real home from home, perfect for couples, families, or those with pets. Entry is via a stable door, that leads to a porchway. From here is a cosy, open plan living room, featuring a multi-fuel burner, and exposed beams. A large leather sofa faces the stove, a flatscreen tv with integrated DVD player, and a hi-fi system. Welcome baskets of coal, wood and kindling are provided free of charge, as are books, games and DVD's for relaxing evenings in. The living room also has underfloor heating.

The country kitchen includes a large oak table, wall oven, electric hob, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, integrated dishwasher and washer/dryer. The cupboards are extremely well equipped, with everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. Some non-perishable ingredients, tea, coffee and basic cleaning products are also included. We also supply and iron and ironing board. This room has the benefits of underfloor heating.

The bathroom features a walk in shower, full sized bath, hand basin, WC and electric wall heaters.

Upstairs, the master bedroom is furnished with an antique style Victorian brass bed, bedside tables with reading lights, a chest and wardrobe for storage, plus radio alarm clock with built in phone charger. This room also boasts underfloor heating.

The second bedroom has twin beds, bedside table with reading light, television with integrated DVD player, radio alarm clock with built in phone charger, chest and large cupboard for storage, and an electric wall heater.

The cottage has a fully enclosed, secluded country garden, which is a riot of colour in the spring and summer months. The patio table and chairs are perfect for outside meals, or simply relaxing in the garden. There is also a barbecue guests are very welcome to use. Car parking is on a quiet lane outside the cottage.

All bedding, towels and electricity are all included, as is the free wi-fi throughout the property. We charge no extra for well behaved dogs, but ask they remain downstairs at all times. No smoking. Our changeover day is saturday, but short breaks are available out of peak months.
