Description of Coach HouseFramed by ancient copper beeches our farmstead nestles at the foot of Wetton Hill surrounded by miles of rolling countryside. Close to popular Dovedale, the Manifold Valley Cycle Trail, tranquil Alstonefield, busy Hartington, historic Chatsworth and thrill seeking Alton Towers, Gateham Grange offers the perfect Peak District Farm Holiday.Sleeping 2 - 6 persons in 2 bedrooms, the Coach House stands next to the quaint old stone dovecote and enjoys views of Wetton Hill. It has a private garden with lovely views down the valley. Deceptively spacious it is suited to both couples and families and has been sympathetically converted retaining old beams and exposed stonework. Having a toilet on both levels this cottage is great for families and people with limited mobility. Robert, Teresa and Sam invite you to experience life on a real working farm with 400 sheep lambing from around the second week in March to early May. Families return year after year to watch the lambing. (so book early to avoid disappointment). Children are most welcome to help feed sheep and bottle feed lambs under adult supervision. Shortly after lambing our suckler herd begin to calve and guests can see young calves running around the fields and if lucky may see a calf being born. Children can collect eggs laid by our free range hens. Just come to see us at the Farmhouse and we will gladly show you around the farm. We look forward to meeting you. We live at the farmstead and are on hand if needed. Features of Coach House
